This paper seeks to understand the various barriers and drivers influencing green entrepreneurship, focusing on how these enterprises compete with conventional market players. The study utilizes the Multiple Streams Framework (MSF), to analyze the interplay between environmental issues, policy dynamics, and market demands. The research involves qualitative analysis through semi-structured interviews, document analysis, and thematic analysis. Despite the increasing emphasis on sustainable development and green entrepreneurship, the study highlights green business faces key barriers like limited financing, regulatory challenges, and high market entry costs. Despite these obstacles, the paper reveals that green entrepreneurs are motivated by socio-environmental goals and are committed to sustainability beyond mere economic benefits. The report concludes with recommendations to support the practical needs of green businesses, fostering a supportive ecosystem that promotes green entrepreneurship and integrates sustainability into mainstream business practices in India.
